Crosby plays with an edge that many other players get praised for, but since he's under such a microscope people always notice when he hacks someone or cross-checks someone. He doesn't actually dive anymore, you're thinking of when he first entered the league and took a few dives. But it's not like Ovie or even the Sedin twins have never dove before. Loads of people have dove before but since Crosby is the best in the game people are always watching him and looking for things to criticize so they can try and take him down a peg. No matter what Crosby does people will criticize him. If he stopped playing with that edge people would start calling him a pansy who is scared. And it's not like Crosby doesn't get his fair share of penalties. His rookie season he had over 100 and he has 401 penalty minutes in his career, which is almost a penalty minute a game. I know CDC won't like this but there actually are no conspiracy theories and the league doesn't favor anyone. The reffing is just that bad.
