haha and some guy on team 1040 is saying the dumbest stuff ever hahah he claims to know that the only reason Luongo was in the gold medal game was because fleury was injured... And Lu doesnt deserve credit for the gold medal.. :picard::picard::picard::picard:

Lui looked bad on the first goal and our defensive coverage was terrible on the other 3 .. Cory came in, the team rallied and we won .. the boys played at times like they canna wait for the playoffs either, and totally dominated at other times .. ugly win is still a win.

We are blessed to have two great goalies .. booing Lui was so typical, yet with ticket prices what they are, I too would be "pizzed" off with the effort of the entire team early on .. Lui looked fine when he came out to give Cory gratz .. come on playoffs .. :canucks:

Woot woot! Come back boyzzzz!!! Real proud of Hank for stepping it up while Dannys out.

I've officially designated the Pahlsson line to 2nd line status. Kesler is someone else right now, on the ice for 5 of the last 8 goals against - this guys the defensive specialist? He's not even playing reg shifts against top opponents - Pahlsson is. 23 TOI tonight? Ya really AV? Looking to injure or tire out your supposed top guys right before playoffs.

Hope Kassian is ok. Canucks don't have a ton of grit, maybe Bitz gets the call?

And Bob McKenzie. I can see he's getting a head start on 'Canucks playoff bashing". 'Melodrama capital of the world'...... what an ignorant old man. Buffalo, Boston, Philly,Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Chicago (just to name a few) fanbases have ALL jeered and cheered when their goaltender got pulled, threw waffles on the ice, were calling for these goalies to be traded etc etc. While I don't like people cheering when Lu got pulled, it happens ALL the time in large markets when goalies struggle. Let me repeat ALL the time. Yet Vancouver fans are the worst?!? He's just looking for a way to criticize Canucks, organization and their fanbase - getting a head start for the playoffs. Rant over////till playoffs.

Defensive coverage was a mess until Schneids came in. It's unbelievable how badly they played in front of Lu. The frist goal Lu should have had but the other ones were just pathetic D work.

Boys stepped up and got the win.

I didn't like how Blake Price handled that caller and I didn't like how the caller made his point but, to a certain extent I do agree with the gist of his point:

Luongo was better than Brodeur but he was not the reason that they won. He did his job but unlike Halak or Hiller or Miller he was not counted upon to be the saviour of the team. He made some big saves but also has some wonky goals against. We can't take the attitude that because he won the Gold Medal all his faults should be forgiven. Elite players have to prove themselves over and over again. They can't be a one trick pony.

Anyways, the call was handled wrong IMO. Price needed to not be so immature and the caller needed to be a bit clearer

There's a big difference. Like you said, fans in those cities jeer when their goalie has been struggling, as in continuously playing bad for a long period of time. Luongo, on the other hand, has not been struggling continuously. Besides a four game stretch recently when he let in 15 goals or whatever, Luongo has been playing GREAT for the last few months. For some perspective, before today's game Luongo had a 3-0-1 record in his last 4 games, posting a shutout and a .939 save%, .950 save% and .946 save% in those games. Before that was the rough 4 game stretch and before that, he posted a 9-1-4 record with a .900 save% or higher in 10 of those games.

So my question is, how the *uck could fans think things were so bad that they had to cheer when Schneider came on? I know people will say it's because the fans all love Schneider but I don't buy it.

Zero perspective.
