Canuck nation always wanted a 50 point dman, and had one, but he left for money. So, do you think Edler will hit 50? I say he hits 51, for good measure Go Canucks go! I know points don't matter as much as overall ability, but if he stays below 50, he'll always be considered underrated and not in the same class as Chara, Weber, etc... You have to get over the "the more points he has = the better defenseman he is" misconception. In my opinion he has not come close to taking that step forward everyone expected this year. Obviously I don't believe in the "most more points he has = the better defenseman he is" misconception, because I said it in my post.. More points will just get his name around more in the league, make him more famous.. Do you think anyone gave a crap about Keith Yandle before he put up 59 points last year?.. Just look at Stamkos this season. If he scores 60, everyone will remember it as "the season that Stamkos made 60 goals, wow!"
