No doubt in my mind that we would have won with Luongo.

That said - WTF were the Canucks doing?
Did they think the Flamez were going to just give them the game?

They better not play like that next Wednesday.

Yes...I am ticked off!

I seem to recall Luongo being down in the dumps as well when he is left out to dry.

Bieksa doesn't look ready tonight. It's a good thing they dressed him, because you don't want him playing like that in Game 1.

Kinda sucks knowing that 2 goals were directly due to our mistakes.

Can't win the turd when we play like turd.

DIsappointing effort. The team played maybe 15 minutes with intensity and started coasting as soon as Alex scored his goal.

P'd away the President' trophy which was there's to take and have put at risk finishing first in the west which could come back to haunt them later.

They had something to play for and Calgary didn't. For shame Nucks!

Here's my best Vancouver Canucks' "fan" impersonation:

"OMFG Lou let in 3g on 28 shots?! Trade that bum! Wait, it was Schneider?! Trade that bum then!"

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

Luongo got crucified for some bad numbers against a bad team when he had little to no help on most of the goals. Will Schneider suffer the same fate?

Some really really bad mistakes in that game that cost us the win. Now it's up to NYR and St louis losing 1 game each and us winning saturday if we want the presidents trophy. Worst of luck to them :D

well THAT was lame. what a golden opportunity to be in charge of our own destiny. Hopefully this serves as a lesson: if a team like the Flames can come back from a 1-0 deficit, any team in the playoffs can too. Don't sit on a lead.

Kesler line looked better but they're starting to piss me off. That's a lot of $$ we have invested in him and Booth.

Nonexistent PP again. And if they'd scored late in the game it would have all been forgiven. Sometimes timing is everything. They look anemic right now. Time for a re-tool by Newell Brown

Bieksa's "maintenace break" was great but it certainly didn't help him with his reads and his timing.

Ugh I hate OOT scoreboard watching

Man honestly not a big deal, its game 81, won 7 in a row, season is pretty much over. Hopefully NYR will lose next game and the blues. Otherwise prez trophy would be nice, but no big deal at all if we don't get it. Means nothing.

Disappointing loss for the Canucks considering what was at the stake: the conference lead and home ice advantage!

I really felt the Canucks were putting a minimum effort out there after scoring the first goal. They had a chance to bury the Flames with powerplays, and the PP gets them nothing yet again. At the end the Canucks stepped up, but too little too late. Ah well, it's a nice luxury to watch a meaningless late-season game and not be stressed out. And the Rangers lost, so the President's Trophy is still in play.

Team also needs to start hitting the net more, too many fanned shots or missed shots (Pahlsson and Rome in particular). Kesler's shot is also becoming, as if it weren't already, way too obvious.

Who cares? Calgary is golfing next week, let them have their regular season win. I seriously think the Canucks want 2nd in the conference. Why? Phoenix is a better matchup than San Jose. San Jose is very big and physical whereas Phoenix is just trap-fest 101 and doesn't have that great of goaltending (Mike Smith is on a roll right now but he's playing waaaay over his head). I think the most important thing in these games is to just play out the season, and for crying out loud shoot the puck on the power play! More shots=more goals, it isn't exactly rocket science. But hey, I know the Canucks will be ready come playoff time. All anyone cares about is the Stanley Cup and it really is the only thing that matters to the Canucks and their fans. Btw, I really like Corey Schneider, but he played no better than Luongo did against Anaheim. Yet he'll be forgiven and Luongo's name will be dragged through the mud. Just support whoever's playing and let's cheer this team to Stanley Cup glory. We have as good a chance as anyone. Go Canucks!

Only if the Blues and Rangers lose 1 more game each. We have to win outright.

Outright? As in win in regulation? A win at all and a loss of any sort by the others will win us the Presidents trophy.

Guess what buddy, sometimes good teams lose hockey games. St. Louis gave up 5 goals to Columbus. It happens. They won like what, 7 in a row?

Canucks know it's a long road to the Cup, don't want to waste too much energy on mean-nothing Calgary.

GOD THAT SCHNEIDER SUCKS.

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

Any possibility of refraining from the Lu vs Shneids... for once? Seriously, why is this always some goalie gripe fest!

Our PP was kacked, and that's why we lost. Full stop.

Didn't watch the whole game but from the end of the second onward it seemed like we were giving the puck away frequently, and the pp sucked ass. :sadno: At least no injuries though..

This game will come back to haunt them guaranteed! Home ice is more important than you think , even if the Canucks screwed up in the finals last year!
