Whats up with Don Taylor's haircut? So short!

He's looking old these days...can't help but think he's trying to cover it up.

There was not a single Mcsoftie, if thats what you guys wanna know! If it wasnt for Cory we would have lost the chance at the prez last game loo..but here to hoping the Rangers only get 1 point or less next game. And the boys pull off a nice win.

NO, THEY LOSE THE TIE BREAKER BETWEEN NEWYORK OF ST. LOUIS ! THEIR SCREWED !

relax dude the only way it will affect ice advantage is if the nucks face the rags or blues and who knows what will happen. any other team we play we have home ice.

We needed to rest Luongo. And Calgary was a weak team. Calculated risk that didn't pan out.

Well at least we can get 2 with Edmonton. Luongo is in net.
You have to be a true bandwagoneer if you buy Mike's line about looking for the right deal to trade Luongo.

True fans and hockey diehards know, that is double talk for, "Luongo is a high ticket commodity now or next year, we'll keep him around just in case Schneider turns out to be a lemon and chokes games."

And choke he will.

I know this. I'm never wrong.

Canucks really need to win the next game and lock up the conference. Giving home ice to St. Louis if we go deep enough to play them would be a horrible mistake.

This game could have helped solidify home ice for the playoffs. Now, they have to pray STL and NYR only get a point.

For me, other than gm 7 SCF. This game is one of the biggest fails of all time for the team. Game was in the hands of Canucks top players, yet Hank is -2, Edler -2, Kesler is on his 11 game with ONLY 1 pt in that time. Really!?! These are the teams top players stepping up in big games? It just reminded me of game 7, and makes me sad. Like, have they learned nothing????!!! This is the game Nucks decide to blow a multi year record of not losing in reg after leading going into 3rd. A non-playoff team had NO business being in this game.

I honestly don't know what AV should do with Kesler. Maybe take his $5 mill paycheck and give it to charity, cause he's earned maybe $2.5M of it this yr. He killed the PP approx 3 times tonight, he can't even play with a man advantage? AV needs to do something with this guy.

This game will come back to haunt them guaranteed! Home ice is more important than you think , even if the Canucks srewed up in the finals last year!

Well unless St. Louis passes them Canucks will only have to worry about the Rangers....by then I don't think it will matter.

Boston didn't have home ice and they won the Cup.

Luongo got crucified for some bad numbers against a bad team when he had little to no help on most of the goals. Will Schneider suffer the same fate?

Luongo - #1 Goalie 5.3 million dollar salary

Schneider - #2 Goalie 900,000 dollar salary

See the difference?

well THAT was lame. what a golden opportunity to be in charge of our own destiny. Hopefully this serves as a lesson: if a team like the Flames can come back from a 1-0 deficit, any team in the playoffs can too. Don't sit on a lead.

Kesler line looked better but they're starting to piss me off. That's a lot of $$ we have invested in him and Booth.

Nonexistent PP again. And if they'd scored late in the game it would have all been forgiven. Sometimes timing is everything. They look anemic right now. Time for a re-tool by Newell Brown

Bieksa's "maintenace break" was great but it certainly didn't help him with his reads and his timing.

Ugh I hate OOT scoreboard watching

yeah why would you take out Tanev and Manny...also felt like they were in our zone way more than we were in their zone. I also cant believe they came out so flat at the begining of the second..right after knowing the Rangers lost!

This all is dishearting, but oh well lets see what they can do in the playoffs. Only time they actually tried was the last minute of the game.

Canucks know it's a long road to the Cup, don't want to waste too much energy on mean-nothing Calgary.

Not to worry, they didn't waste ANY energy on Calgary. Unfortunately, it could mean they will have to expend a significant more amount of energy later with tougher games and added travel by giving up home ice advantage in the finals and possibly the western finals (if they get that far).

home ice advantage is overrated. The Canucks were the best road team in the NHL this year. Besides, they have it through at least 2 rounds. I don't foresee the Blues going past the second round, the rangers will probably bow out to the Pens if they have to play them. This game meant jack squat. I just didn't want to see anyone get hurt.

I don't get it. So because Luongo gets paid more, he automatically bears more blame than Schneider even though both goalies were hung out to dry?

What's Luongo supposed to do, keep his bags of money on the goal line for extra assistance?

How do you explain Ryan Miller's play in November and December when he couldn't stop a beach ball? Ah forget it.

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.
