If the Sharks lose later today, they stay in 8th, and we will hopefully stay in 1st place. There would then be the very distinct possibility of us playing the same 3 teams as last year on our way to the cup final, albeit in a different order: 1 Vancouver - 8 San Jose (Van) 2 St Louis - 7 LA/Phoen (St L) 3 Phoen/LA - 6 Chicago (Chi) 4 Nash/Det - 5 Det/Nash (Nash) 1 Van - 6 Chi (Van) 2 StL - 4/5 Nash (Nash) 1 Van - 4/5 Nash Each of these series outcomes is not just possible, but arguably even the most likely scenario (possible exception in my mind being Detroit beating Nashville).
