The Canucks have played him enough to attain the right to match contract offers for him in the offseason, so Tanev is back in tonight. Does anyone think he'll see significant time in the postseason?

Sulzer,Ehrhoff and Samuelsson would look good in the post season.

Which one? There's any number of tpoics on Grags and his UFA/RFA status.

IMO, he'll get some time but isn't guaranteed anything.

Tanev is going to EDM. I can put my life savings down on it

Debateable, but it's a moot point since they don't play for us anymore.

Samuelsson got us Booth, Ehrhoff has no one to blame but himself, and Sulzer was getting less ice time than Gragnani is now. Just because they're somewhere else doesn't mean they'd be good for us.

Not impressed with him. There are guys on the team who, even when struggling, have likable personalities or a strong presence in the locker room. From all the post game interviews I've seen with him, it seems he has neither. I can't tell what, if anything, he brings to the team either on the ice or in the room. Kind of rubs be the wrong way, actually...

His offensive ability is OK, but he is terrible defensively. I hope we don't play him anymore.

I would much rather see Ballard, Rome, or Alberts in the 3rd LD. Put Salo with Edler, Tanev with Ballard, Juice with Hamhuis.

We've secured Gragnani being a RFA, no need to play him anymore, especially not in the playoffs when we want our defence to be defensive.

I hope not. He plays like a 16 years old....

I think we will see him again. As much as the hate is on for him he is the best passer out of our own end no doubt. Also when he is on the ice we get alot more scoring chances, he isnt very good defensivly but i really dont think that is why we got him in the trade.

As soon as it's deemed thwt we need more offence from the defence then he'll be in. While he may be a defenceive liability, he has a good first pass, good point shot and is not afraid to pinch in, obvioulsy. He wouldn't be bad if paired with Hammer.

Most guys play better depending on the partner they're with. As much as I like Bieksa, look at him pre and post Hammer.

Here's the depth chart IMO -

Edler
Hamhuis
Bieksa
Salo
Ballard
Rome
Tanev
Alberts
Gragnani

So basically we need 3 injuries to see MAG in the playoffs, which isn't that unlikely.

Sulzer,Ehrhoff and Samuelsson would look good in the post season.

Just think of Samuelsson's play in the LA season. Hopefullly he'll do well for Florida.
Sig too big.

Gragnani really needs to work on his defensive side of the game, he is one of the
reasons Luongo had a bad game against the Ducks the other night.

Maybe Gragnani should spend some time in the AHL, so he can fine tune his game
incase he is need for the playoffs with the Canucks...

probably wont but with our luck with injuries i wouldn't doubt it
He might need some time on the wolves to work on the defensive side of his game but he does have some promise

I disagree. It may be irrelevant but I am thinking about it so it is relevant.Surprise.
Samuelsson led the Canucks in playoff scoring two years ago.
Gragnani is a dud at this stage.Sulzer has proven to be a reliable veteran.
Ehrhoff has Bieksa and GIllis to blame.

This is how I see it too.
Grags wasn't picked up to step into a top six role this year... Sulzer was #9 and had no real future in this depth chart - Gragnani on the other hand has a different, rarer skill set and this was a forward looking trade.

Ehrhoff has Bieksa to blame? Is Bieksa a lawyer as well? :bigblush:
