Canucks May Have Back-To-Back Between Games 4/5

@blakeprice1040:

Expect Canucks-kings schedule will be weird. Expect 2 days off between game 3 and 4, then back to back for 4 and 5. Blame NBA and Coldplay

At least travel and time zones won't be an issue

I'm a lot more concerned about the ice quality in LA to be honest

I know both teams are at the same disadvantage but LA has had practice playing after Lakers games or after concerts.

Van provides our opponents with pristine ice on most nights and the crew does a really good job of restoring the quality after we've had a concert in our building. Hope the bad bounces don't become too much of a factor.

I think last year was the first time I ever recalled games on back to back nights. Would be crazy to see it so early this year.

if we have an back to back......we should put schneider in just to fool the kings around so Luongo is fresh for game 5.......evil plan

I think back to backs suit the Canucks more for 3 reasons:

1) LA's top guys play a ton of minutes, more likely to burn out on 2nd night

2) Nucks depth. LA has a good 4th line who play average to above average mins. But Canucks 4th line can be trusted in all situations and can play between 8-13 mins a night.

3) Canucks can use their back up on 2nd night to avoid potential injury to main goalie. No way LA uses Bernier.

has this happen before? back to back with travel between game 4 and 5........so basically we should try to sweep the Kings in order to avoid back to back

What a great way to get both goalies involved. This gives us an advantage I would think.
