I don't put any stock in these jokers anymore.

We won, what, 8 or 9 of our last 10 games? Despite missing Daniel, we and ended up with 51 wins (1st), only 22 outright losses (1st) and TSN's final power ranking has FIVE teams ahead of us???

yeah... ok

I've said for a while that I didn't think the Canucks could make it passed the first round.

I don't want to play the pessimist but playing the Kings in the 1st round doesn't make me feel a whole lot better, neither does having Mason Raymond on the first line. The only line that needs tinkering is the 2nd line, and that tinkering should not come at the price of the 3 other lines.

I really think our defensive pairings are set and playing well and don't need adjusting. All they need is consistency meaning no mixing and matching from game to game in our top 4 (injuries aside).

Burrows-Henrik-Lapierre should be utilized until it stops working. Lapierre brings energy and grit to the first line that the Sedins severely lack and plays great with Burrows. His impact on the 2nd line will be minimal at best. The Second line already has energy and grit, what it lacks is Chris Higgins. I love Higgins right where he is and I agree with the decision to keep the Pahlsson line together but placing Raymond in the lineup, especially on the 1st line is a mistake.

AV seems to be trying to space out the non-performing players in hopes that the different roles will spark them when in reality he should be isolating these players to a single line. I would rather have a 2nd line that is ineffective and that can work through their troubles than needlessly spacing out performing players in hopes of sparking some offence. I like Lappy, but he should be playing with Henrik and Burrows. The Second line either needs Higgins or someone to pick up the slack on the RW.

Burrows-Henrik-Lapierre

Booth-Kesler-

Higgins-Pahlsson-Hansen

Malhotra/Bitz-Bitz/Malhotra-Weise

Hamhuis-Bieksa

Edler-Salo

Rome/Alberts/Gragnani/Ballard-Tanev (Tanev admittedly has impressed me and could probably play anywhere)

This lineup should be our staple. The 2nd line RW position is all we need filled and that should not come at the expense of this lineup until it stops working. These lines have been genuinely effective with the exception of the 2nd.

Mason Raymond and Zack Kassian should be watching the entire playoffs from the press box but given our lack of Daniel Sedin, they should be isolated by rotating in the 2nd line RW position.

The only real question should be our goaltending should things not go great in net. I truly believe we can win this series if we play a tight checking solid-defensive game with these lines. Otherwise I predict Kings in 6.

Maybe Its an effect of watching the Canucks for too long, but I see danger in pretty much any playoff opponent. The Kings play a very defensive system and theyre good at it. Quick is in the running for the vezina this year. Canucks seem to have problems scoring all by themselves sometimes. I'm not counting out LA.

Guest The Brown Burrows

I'm surprised there isn't more King support but then again it would be shocking if the Canucks lose the series.
