DownUndaCanuck Posted April 12, 2012 Share Posted April 12, 2012 I didn't think it was a bad hit, the head wasn't targetted, his head just went into the boards but if you watch the replay it wasn't even the first thing - his collar bone goes into the boards first. Bad hit from behind but the head was not targetted and he got a 5 minute major, so Shanahan won't give out a suspension. Please don't compare this to what Weber did - Weber didn't even "hit" Zetterberg, he tried to kill him. That is about as malicious a thing as someone can do on the ice short of taking a swing at someones head with a stick. Weber should be kicked out of the series, Bitz will be back for Game 2. AV needs to bring somebody else in to fill that 4th line role for the remainder of the series because that was absolutely stupid on Bitz's part.
