YaK
Game 2 is statistically more important... if we care about statistics
NuckleheadFan
Let's cheer on our boys and make our house a difficult place for a visiting team to win at. We know our team can play better than they showed
Master Mind
Blues and Pens were the only other home teams to lose. And IMO both those series were going to game 7 so game 1 helped both their opponents. Game 2 is where it all matters though.
Understand
Yes. A team loses Game One has a very good chance to go on and lose the series. Therefore, the answer to your question is YES.
Milk Hot Dog
1/2 the teams fail to win their 1st game? WHAT LOSERS!

Guest BuckFoston
St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Vancouver lost at home. All three teams that lost at home are favored to win their series.
MyNameIsTom
Depends who they are favored by... some analysts on TV? Aside from Vancouver, I favo r the other teams to win those series so it's all subjective anyway. Maybe I will be wrong, maybe the analysts will be wrong. Doesn't really matter. I just want this team to put in the effort and stop diddling around.
Don't.Mess.With.Kes<3
So many Canucks "fans" are ridiculous. We lost game one, that does not mean we are going to lose the series. Take a look at the other teams which have lost game 1 so far this year -St.Louis -Chicago -Detroit -Ottawa -Washington -Pittsburgh Do you also think all of those teams are going to lose their series? mbal23
I think your math is a little off. That's 6 other teams. Devils and Panthers have yet to play.
NikiShiz
WE LOST GAME 1! FIRE AV, TRADE LU AND STRIP HANK OF THE CAPTAINCY....OH AND TRADE FOR HODGSON! ...lol some people expect the Canucks to go 16-0....
ilduce39
No. Weird game with so many penalties. Felt like the Kings threw everything they had at us and we were still (albiet thanks to Lou) in it. No reason we won't bounce back.
magoomba
I expect Pittsburgh and Vancouver to advance despite losing game 1. Other match ups are playing out as I expected. Possibly Chicago can advance but I have a gut feeling Toews may have come back too early and could suffer a setback.

StanleyNux
were they all badly outplayed though?
gamasutra
No, but Game 1 winners have a 367-164 advantage for a 69% chance of winning the series. So of the 7 losers, likely only 2 will go on to win. 5 will probably lose.
dura_mater
Yes. But what if they didnt play to their potential now? Maybe John Quick steals a game now. You never know whats going to happen. i think the Canucks will rally. We need a convincing win. Not just a 1 goal game
gopher canuck
It is not the first game you need to be worried about. Win the last one. Boston lost the first one and the second one last year. They came out ok I think.
