No. Raymond is positionally sound on defence, and actually takes away chances with his speed on the back check...if you put aside your hate and actually watch the game. Why has everyone over the course of the year said that Raymond is useless unless on the top two lines? Pahlsson is NOTORIOUS for being difficult to get off the puck, and being able to stripe top forwards of their possession. Did you watch him with the Ducks in their cup run? He was amazing. If Raymond had half that ability, he'd be on the third line regularly, and not being transplanted between lines. Players offer more than what you see on the scoresheet, sure we all saw Willie Mitchell score a backbreaker goal on us, but watch what he does the other 20 something minutes he's on the ice, he was a popular whipping boy around these parts. You need to start watching the games and thinking for yourself. Take for example Booth. Someone has whispered that to him while he was asleep and ever since he thinks that's all the game is about. Give him a puck, he drives to the net, give him a puck he drives to the net, and so it goes on. Now here's the sickener. Despite having played 7 fewer games and being a player who not only plays other players in (unlike Booth) but defends like a demon and of course as you feel obligated to point out, doesn't go to the net a fraction of the times that Booth does HE IS ONLY 10 POINTS LESS THAN BOOTH. Not bad for a guy who missed all of the close pre season's conditioning. I know it's hard concentrating for a complete game but that's what watching and understanding hockey is all about.
