bobopan
Im a Schneider fan and have crapped on Luongo plenty this season but you go with LU. He has been our best player throughout this series its the rest of the team that needs a long hard look in the ???? mirror. Play 82 games all leading up to what...? To crap the bed and lose your cool the second you face any adversity.. I hope there was some screaming in the locker room after tonights game. SuperSakic
if nothing else, schneids needs to play for a change in momentum, and hes really good in pressure filled road games...

GHL
If it weren't for Luongo we would have lost these games by at least a 4 goal margin...
Butters Stoch
Lu has been one of our better players, but I'd like to see Schneids get a chance just because the team seems to play better in front of him.
van_ws
Schneider, there should be no debate at all. You have to take big risks when you are desperate and down for the count. The Canucks absolutely MUST win game 3 to have any hope to winning the series. By putting Schneider in, hopefully the team gets the message and wakes the hell up. If he loses game 3 then you can go back with Luongo facing elimination in game 4, or keep Schneider.

canucksss2011
Im a Schneids fan for sure.. I just like the way he carries himself on and off the ice more than Lu. So I definitely vote for Schneids to start. Im hard on Lu sometimes, but this is the way I see it.. Lu played pretty good but he got outplayed by Quick. So I wouldnt say Lu played "great" and the "best player on the ice." Yeah the team maybe made a lot of mistakes, and their PP sucked, the breakaway chance had nothing to do with Lu, but he could have made a key save.. I believe Schneider would have made that save. The goal where Lu was laying down looking at the ref or something, his reaction was ridiculously slow, that also could have been prevented. Right there with those two goals not happening we would have had a 2-2 score, the outcome could have been completely different. Even with a 3-2 score if he made one of the saves the outcome could have been so different So with that, I say Schneids starts, plus I think the team plays better infront of him so we need the change up. Special Ed
Sorry but we are just not good enough this year. Starts with Kesler and the sedins.
eagleeyedak
Its painful watching Luongo supporters stand up for him. The breakaway was at an angle, and he should be better than a coinflip to stop that. Instead, he whiffs, like he always does, making the first move, and getting beaten. We've painfully seen it now for too many years. He always commits first on breakways. The first goal, he allows his feet to get swiped out and does a snow angel. Third goal, he can't stop a simple push on a dump to the net. Fourth goal was a total joke. Far too often, when Luongo belly flops to the ice, the puck finds the back of the net. You'd think after some simple tape watching he'd figure out that when he's down, he's out. Instead, he flails and flops like its never cost him a big goal in his career. Look, he needs to be better than 50-50 on all four of those plays tonight. If he is, we're in the game. He made one massive save in the high slot, granted. Still, you can make all of the excuses you want, the guy can't consistently make big saves when this team needs him. Quick, on the other hand, made all of those coin flip saves tonight, except for the Pahlsson goal. This team cannot win with Roberto Luongo in goal. Only a team stacked with the best Canada can offer, versus the world, can. In comparison, The Ginger will hold his ground, play the right angles, trust his technique and keep the bad ones out. And, he plays at this level with all of about 60 games or so played in the NHL. He'll only get better. Cory Schneider is the Canuck goaltender going forward, or we're out. Plain and simple. Furthermore, this is a turning point for the franchise, if we don't give the reins to The Ginger and instead dump him this summer for draft picks. The only people following the NHL who don't realize this are on these boards and/or likely watching tape at Rogers Arena right now.
Captain-Canuck2562
Loungo has played well these last two games but you need to switch things up. Schnieder is a very good goalie and the team needs a shake up. Loungo didnt lose us the games but he also didn't win us the games. Who knows... Maybe Schnieder can. *VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS*
I voted Schneids. Not because Luongo was horrible, but because momentum needs to change.
TheGreatDane36
Lou is not the problem. It's the team that plays like crap in front of him that's the problem. Bring out Schneids for game 3 just to shake things up so that the team can play a different brand of hockey.

Tm085
Luongo has officially s*** the bed allowing 7 goals in the first two games at home this season. I don't know if Luongo thinks this is Boston or not but I would be shocked if Schneider does not start Game 3.

afan
If MG and AV are serious about winning games in LA, Schneider has to start the next game. Luongo gave up a bad goal on the 5 on 3 in the first game and the third and fourth goals tonite are not good goals. Schneider seldom gives up a jammed in goal and Luongo was on his belly forever for the fourth goal. Luongo in goal just puts lots of pressure on the Canucks Ds because all pucks thrown at Luongo are pushed to the corners or sideboards and the Ds are in complete chaos facing the fierce forechecks from the big Kings. One can only expect Luongo giving up 3 or more goals again if he gets the start in LA and the way Quick stops pucks there is no chance for the Canucks to win. Schneider may or may not get the job done either but he has the benefit of the unknown. The Cancuks cannot change the whole team when down on their heels but a goalie change may just shake things up. AV should learn from the success in the last Ducks game when pulling Luongo while down by 2 goals ended up with a comeback win. If AV and MG have any guts, Schneider should start. And no matter who is the starting goalie, AV has to pull the starting goalie if they are down by 2 again in any game.
