alpal06
To Vancouver: Andrew Ladd, Evander Kane, Patrice Cormier, 3rd Round Pick To Winnipeg: Ryan Kesler, Alex Edler, Mason Raymond. 1st Round Pick To Washington: Manny Malhotra, Andrew Alberts, Luke Schenn, 2nd Round Pick (TOR) To Vancouver: David Steckel, Cody Franson, Roman Hamrlik, Brooks Laich To Toronto: Roberto Luongo, 3rd Round Pick (VAN) Note: Yeah its a Toronto trade. TO has defensive depth for miles and the Canucks need to retool back there big time. Schenn needs to be in an environment where he can develop with less pressure.Hamrlik and Hunter do not get along, Washington brings in some defensive depth for next year on 2 expiring contracts while getting rid of an unhappy player. To Vancouver: Brandon McMillan To Anaheim: Keith Ballard Note: Young Banger...Nuff said. We then fire AV, welcome back SOB Sedin Sedin Burrows Booth Laich Kane Ladd Lapierre Higgins Hansen Steckel Kassian/McMillan/ Cormier Bieksa Hamhuis Hamrlik Franson O'Brien Salo Schneider Lack (UFA Goalie if deemed necessary) Super Deep, Super tough, LOADS of young forwards ready to step in/dominate in the AHL. Restock the shelves with prospects who have won at the junior level.

bossram
Not realistic, and our defense is far worse now.

alpal06
D's Admittedly weak, but I don't think the WPG-VAN trade is that far off from a realistic trade scenario if conditions were right. Kesler is worth more than Ladd, Edler is valuable in a trade without a doubt, and a 1st in the top 20 is going to be nice for the JEts.
underrated
Ya the whole proposal isn't very good. If we were to trade Kesler (which clearly has a very low change of happening) then Winnipeg would be an interesting place especially if we could get a guy like Kane
alpal06
WPG gets a number 1 centre, and flexibility to deal one of their coveted D's like Byfuglien, Hainsey or Enstrom (whose contracts expiring). Enstrom probably makes the most logical sense to be dealt despite his overall value to the team due to his contract status. The Jets would get a Kings ransom for Enstrom in an offseason with many teams seeking that kind of player. They could probably make a pretty intriguing offer to Edmonton for the 1st overall with a package around Enstrom. Yakupov Burmistrov duo? Could be pretty deadly in the future.
