The-Impersonator
If AV is gone after this season, this decision doesn't mean much. Also, remember the Habs' playoff run with Halak that one year and ended up keeping Price instead.
Aladeen
The team has played better in front of Cory so it only makes sense to play him, its not a punishment of Luo but rather what the TEAM responds to. I don't think this means Luo will be traded, but if he is (assuming he agrees) most likely it will be Tampa.
canucks_dynasty
What if Lou has some injury preventing him from being his best ? Does that change things?
Conscience
i think this approach jumps the gun a bit. remember when halak took over in montreal as starter during their run to the conference finals a couple years ago? as we all know, he was traded. its really just a wait and see scenario. for now, lets all hope for the best tonight, and with any luck, moving forward in the series, with whoever is in goal. key2thecup
The bottom line is Cory is younger, cheaper, and full of potential. Lou has won Gold, took us to game 7 of Stanley's cup. BUT Until he wins the cup the argument will always be can he take us there. Cory was a factor too in last yr's run.
Primal Optimist
break new ground: go all in with money puck: a starter and a closer every game. Lu, we only want 40 mins from you, stand your head..cory 20 mins, close it out. next game: Schneids, 40 minutes, keep it at zero., Lu, warm up for the final 20 at the 2nd intermission. forevernucks19
Why are you people saying that Lu will end up somewhere else? If he does, our salary cap will be screwed, because he signed a NTC 12 year deal. H'es an NTC, so he wont end up anywhere else, UNLESS he ASKS to get traded. We signed him to a 12 year deal for a REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we were going to trade him, why the hell would we sign him for so long? First off, it would screw our salary cap years, 2nd, there has to be a team WILLING to pay the Canucks for the remainder of his years salary, which is 10 years left. We got him locked down, so hes not going anywhere UNLESS HE ASKS TO BE TRADED, WHICH WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

suolucidir
My best bet would be Luongo Tampa for Vinny. Helps us with some secondary scoring and both players get a nerw start. Yes Vinnys contract is bad,,but Lous is not any better and would make both teams better.

Tru_Knyte
Love Luongo, but if there's an option to move forward with a younger, cheaper goaltender who has shown the ability to perform just as well if not better under pressure, I'll take it. Salmonberries
GM Gillis negotiated a $64 million no trade deal with Luongo that runs through to the 2021-2022 season, when he'll be 43 years old: he aint goin' nowhere.
