Tanev's Smirk
By the sounds of it they are taking after the Canucks perfectly.
NuxFan09
Mark Macari takes a penalty in the offensive zone and the Rampage will get their 3rd PP opportunity.
NuxFan09
Haydar gets the best chance of the period for the Wolves as he intercepted a Rampage pass at the blueline and was away to races but shot high. He drew a penalty, though, so the teams will skate 4 on 4 for the time being.

NuxFan09
Ugh, Schroeder sent a great cross ice pass to Sweatt and Sweatt screwed it up by doing nothing with it and the Rampage bullied him off the puck. The Rampage then followed that up with a shorthanded chance but Lack made the save.
NuxFan09
PP now for the Wolves. Finally some pressure!
NuxFan09
Great chance as Yann Sauve carried the puck into the zone like a boss, skated down and around the net and sent a pass across to Mancari but Mancari's shot was blocked. Game is back to 5 on 5 now.
NuxFan09
The Sweatt-Schroeder line is buzzing with just over a few minutes to go but can't seem to put one in. Rampage goalie Grumet-Morris looked like he was maybe hurt making a sliding save on Schroeder but he's still in the net and telling the ref he's ok. NuxFan09
End of 1st. 1-0 Rampage. Shots were 16-4 for the Rampage. Goals: SA Michael Caruso (Jon Matsumoto) The Rampage dominated that period but it looked like the Wolves gained momentum and controlled the play for the latter part of the period. Lack was obviously the story, stopping 15 of 16 shots. Hopefully the momentum stays in the Wolves' favour going into the 2nd and they start mounting some serious offensive pressure in the Rampage zone. Lack may be playing well tonight but it means nothing if the Wolves don't get their offense going.

NuxFan09
Shots are now 21-5 for the Rampage, yet the score is still 1-0 San Antonio. Lack is giving the Wolves a chance, they just gotta get on the board.

NuxFan09
Sounds like Schroeder is on a line with Haydar now. MacTavish is mixing things up to get some offense. Haydar has been the Wolves' best skater in this series so it's good that Schroeder, possibly their fastest and most creative forward, gets a chance with him. Hopefully those two find some chemistry and create some stuff together. The team needs anything they can get right now. Wolves going to the PP. Crucial point in the game for Chicago. NuxFan09
Nothin doin on that PP. Sounds like the Wolves got some chances but nothing really threatening. Nolan Yonkman of the Rampage takes a penalty. Wolves back to the PP.

NuxFan09
SCORE!! Baumgartner with the shot from the point, Reinprecht tips it in. Finally they score with the man advantage and more importantly, they tie the game. 1-1!
NuxFan09
Baumgartner and Hunt with the assists. I believe that's 4 points in the series now for Hunt. Great pickup by the Wolves. Gotta wonder if the Canucks will take notice and sign him.
