oldnews
I think the NHL should have paid Quenneville $10k for that performance. I thought it had epic entertainment value.
Industrious1
Once again the NHL is walking a PR tightrope with inconsistant fines and punishments. Does League brass really have no idea how they are perceived by the majority of media and fans alike? I mean granted, its nice to have a "I don't care what you think" attitude...to a certain point, but when there is such a glaring problem that everyone is pointing out that you refuse to acknowledge? It boggles the mind. Shanahan taking over for Campbell was a step in the right direction and at the start of the season I really had hope that a new era in discipline had begun in the NHL. This was short lived however because apparently (it would seem) some higher ups have reigned in Shanny's punishments and now things are more or less back to where they were..or worse in some cases (I'm looking at you Philly/Pitts series). TheOtherVancouver
Funny thing is, if the NHL had "fixed" its officiating and disciplinary system, Keith wouldn't be playing...
NikiShiz
Why is he even getting fined for speaking his mind? NHL is so controlling...
L'Orange
Weber fine should have been $100,
Kass9
Performing WWE moves on the ice costs you $2,500. Speaking your mind along with truth: $10,000. NHL: priceless.
nucklehead53
Quenneville or not, Chicago or not, the NHL really is inconsistent in penalties. So much for entitlement to opinion
Tm085
Coaches don't make nearly as much as players. Wouldn't be surprised if thats around 1/10th of his annual salary.
BabychStache
most top end coaches like Q will make in excess of 1.5 million and have multiple bonuses. Babcock is over 2.

unbridled_id
It's an annual thing for Q. Have Torres blow up one of your players, cry to the media about it.
lateralus
One element the players won in the last CBA negotiation. $2500 is the maximum fine under the current CBA.

Bill Sikes
Typical of a league with something to hide, don't address the problem of incompetant and incosistant reffing, just throw out a fine and tell him to shut up, and pretend everything is sunshine and roses.
