hudson bay rules
hodgson was a bench warmer last season , and a press box refugee might have been these playoffs too
Edler's Mind Tricks
Pahlsson replaces Hodgson.... When Pahlsson is old, Schroeder (or another prospect center) succeeds Pahlsson. We have a depth of young centers, not a single big skilled forward with a high upside and a decent chance of getting there.
Nino
Pahlsson > Hodgson dont forget it.
Nino
its classic how when hodgon was scratched last playoffs , people were calling him a bust and saying the canucks should trade him if there not going to use him when it matters now its the exact same situation and canuck fans are saying the same exact thing do any of you think about the past before you speak on the present?' no . you dont
Tanev's Smirk
We traded our 3rd best scorer right before the playoffs when we had a great shot at the cup. It would have been ok if we added a scorer to replace him but no we added a bench warmer that should be in the wolves in there run. This is not about if Kassian will be good next year or the year after its that the trade set us back when we had a good shot at a cup run.
Nino
It was about trading from a postion of strength. The orginization had two RW prospects prior to the trade. I'm sure Gillis and the scouts thought that Kassian would have been able to replace Weise, but he hasn't.
Tanev's Smirk
They just blew it and overestimated him, think of how much better the return would be if hodgson had a good playoff run.
Nino
I hardly call this a good playoff run. There's also no way to predict if Cody would have got to play in this series. He would most likely be riding the bench with Weise.
Raph
Pahlsson shutdown abilities > Hodgson defensive abilities. Kassian and Mag will be developed. Give Kassian a offseason to grow and train how the Canucks want to train.
NightHawkSniper
So the team can risk a major penalty in an elimination game?
Guest
Kass is just a 4th liner this season. We've been bouncing around 4th liners all season. This doesn't mean anything.
Tanev's Smirk
And you're saying Weise doesn't?
NightHawkSniper
Seeings as Weise doesn't have a penalty yet it is exactly what I'm saying.
nd84
I thought they would do Malhotra-Bitz-Kassian as they did in game
Karlsson`s Flo
Gawd, I hope the Canucks don't lose. This place is getting more and more intolerable by the minute.
UFCanuck
Too bad he got injured in the last regular season game. He hasn't looked the same since, hitters who injure their shoulder are screwed.
riffraff
i hope weise has a strong game. he better be ready to be physical. sedins are in for it tonight.
Ilya Mikheyev
As much as Weise might be a slightly better option, I think AV has to stop changing up lineups that are winning.. Oh well, hoping for the best and you know Weise is gonna give it 100% tonight.
Jaimito
if AV wont play Kass, better that he sits. no need wasting a roaster spot. they will need all hands on deck to win. Kass is a rookie, not yet ready.
