GuzzIer
Wow, Im going to miss "GREAT SAVE LUONGO" It just won't be the same.
Special Ed
Luongo wants out of Vancouver and I don't blame him.
panelguy
Wouldn't his contract get in the way or could he agree to renegociate a new contract by all parties agreeing to throw this life time contract out. You need to be a lawyer I guess.
BedBeats™2.0
I think Luongo is a pretty reliable source.
Everybody Hates Raymond
Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucksClose Luongo says he would waive his no-trade clause if the team asked. "It's about this group".
Neversummer
Interesting posturing. Luongo says Gillis has to initiate. Gillis says he won't ask a player to waive NTC. Are we playing chess?
Nosaj
I hope everyone's happy. We've basically run the best goaltender we've ever had out of town. Our past captain, and a core member who has put up with everything we've thrown at him. Captain Kirk McLean and King Richard Brodeur are honoured in this city, while Roberto Luongo is treated like the court jester who people have grown tired of when he doesn't blow you away every time. Good luck in the future Luongo. I'll be supporting you in the rest of your career, proudly wearing the jersey you signed for me.
TACanucks
This is sad! No matter what Lu is a great goalie and we know he can perform...it will suck if he leaves
Flying Man
MAD respect to Lu. If he gets traded, that team becomes my second favorite. No exceptions.
Riviera82
It's probably best for all concerned. Luongo can go somewhere out of the spotlight, we can get a few assets for him, and Cory can become the #1.
panelguy
Hey Bedbeats why would you want this closed and locked , we're having a discussion here.
Sapper
Man unreal ...when I pay my hard earned money to see the Canucks play, its to watch Loungo make a big save or the Sedins on the power play. After everything Loungo has done for our team I cant believe they are hanging him out to dry like this.
Tanev's Smirk
Wow When did this guy become such a saint? He used to be so self centered and now suddenly he's willing to take one for the team? Amazing. It's a tough situation because, IMO, it would be inexcusable to let Schneider walk but we'd be losing a fantastic goalie in Luongo as well Good on him for his maturity. Best of luck to him in whatever happens And FTR: he is not demanding a trade, he's simply allowing the Canucks that option should they decide to keep Schneider over him
JustJokinen!
Actually til Zeimer "quotes" it...its all speculation. Would rather hear the audio. But then again most of you believe the media anyways.
Karlsson`s Flo
Good for Lu. He deserves better than what people here have treated him.

NikiShiz
Trade Schneider and keep LU...Jeez what does that say about our team when we attempt to demonstrate our commitment to a player through a long term contract and make him our captain, only to strip him of his captaincy and trade him 2 years after. He is an ALL STAR GOALIE who CHANGED this franchise around.
goalie13
Don't panic folks The Canucks aren't just going to hand over an elite goalie like Luongo to another team. I'm sure they'll do everything possible to keep both if they can MG did say that Eddie Lack isn't NHL ready yet...
