SukhKular
PEOPLE, HOW DO YOU RETIRE THE #1? THATS LIKE THE MAIN NUMBER FOR GOALIES
Neufy161
Trying to retire #1 on any team would be really tough... That's the most common number amongst goaltenders. If he gets traded I would say maybe ROH, if he plays out his career here and wins us some Stanley cups then I would consider retiring his number. tricarboxylic
Best franchise goaltender, so Ring of Honour, and Retired Number? Yes, if Luongo does not play better in his next team. I personally want his number retired as a Canuck, and have him placed in the Ring of Honour, or after he retires, possibly in the Hockey Hall of Fame. thehamburglar
He should stay. Lack coming up, he needs someone like Luongo to teach him. But ROH right now.

timmylu1
luongo deserves everything but the fans dont deserve to a him in their history books, they are the reason he is leaving.
justsayin
Only 6 seasons with the team and you seriously think he deserves to have his # retired??? Not a chance.

BurnabyJoe
How can ANYONE suggest anything lower than Ring of Honour? Roberto Luongo, like KIRK MCLEAN got us to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final! If you go by the statistics, he's the best goaltender in Vancouver Canuck history. He's unselfishly waiving his NTC, what more does the man have to do to be appreciated? This city IS a goalie graveyard.
BurnabyJoe
If Luongo doesn't get his jersey retired, and ends up in the HHOF, the CS&E will look so dumb. If I had to predict, he will have his jersey retired. He dominated pretty much every category possible in the goaltender position.
OrdinaryBoy
Franchise goaltender, best goalie in Nucks history, fan favorite (for most of his time here) so I want his number retired. Luu-ing for life!

Puck'nAnimal
#1, Kirk McLean never asked for a trade out of Vancouver. #2. Any Canuck player who asks for a trade should not enter the Ring of Honour EVER! (that includes Pavel Bure and Luongo).
