lappykass
Right now if you could, would you trade Kesler for Weber? This exact thread was started last season, and move of you guys said no. But now, would you? Honestly, I would only trade Kesler for Weber and that's it. I wouldn't take another player in a 1 for 1 trade. What are your thoughts? Guest
I'd say no. Just because we would have no second line without Kesler
-Vintage Canuck-
Our 2nd line would look terrible, so no.
Danthecanucksfan
no, cuz then there ain't no second line centre

ken kaniff
no kesler is great. weber would cost too much. but if weber and kesler had the same cap hit i would still choose kesler. our defense is good enough.
WHL rocks
Ofcourse. Any GM in the league would do that deal in a New York second. Weber is and going to be the top Dman in the league for many years to come. Kesler is not even the top C on his team. It should be noted that if Kesler gets traded the Canucks would need a 2nd line C. Maybe they can get one back in the Luongo or Schneider trade. Tanev's Smirk
I'd trade Edler and a pick for Weber's rights. If I was to trade Kesler it would be for a more offensive center.

Canucked 4 life
Of course, highway robbery trade for Van! No way preds take kes for Weber, Kes lost a lot of trade value this season.
nucklehead53
Easier to find an okay second liner like Mike Fisher, then Shea Weber.
InSoM-
Hell No. Especially with Coho out of the picture.
canucks top scorer
no but if we still had COHO yesh
YEGCanuck
A 1 for 1 trade, I say yes. Kes may be over-rated and Weber is not.
DIBdaQUIB
Weber woudl have a bigger impact on the team's success (especially in the playoffs) than Kesler so yes absolutely! Kesler is really a shut down centerman not a top offensive one so better suited to a 3rd line roll.
