Southpop45
Advantages: 1) Vancouver is one of the best and most beautiful cities to live in 2) Organization is well managed 3) Team is competitive and elite 4) Van is a very strong hockey market and is committed to winning 5) Sutter will be the number 1 d-man here if he signs 6) MG will be able to give him a 7 mill salary for next 6-7 years 7) Dan Hamhuis and Sutter are good friends and he will try to talk to Sutter Disadvantages: 1) Sutter is American and has never played for a canadian team before 2) Every other team in the league is interested and will make him offers 3) He has the choice to go to any team he wants 4) Canucks are not the most well liked team in the league to say the least
Southpop45
i say no beacuse sutter will want to play for an american team, if sutter leave then nashville might consider trading weber knowing that he will leave too. so i say we have a better chance to get weber than sutter within the next two seasons
Hotdawg
So Suter is now a Sutter brother?

Tangelos
If Suter doesn't value mountains or trees, then the whole "Vancouver is beautiful" isn't an advantage. Also with 30 teams competing for suter, it will likely drive his price through the roof. Simple economics: when demand increases, so does the price. Suter will sign for a huge overpayment of something like 10 yrs at a cap hit of 7+ million. Not worth it.

Master Mind
At first I thought this was about Brandon Sutter, which wouldn't have made sense The main thing isn't about if we can convince him to sign with us, it's about if Nashville does first. Kryten
I do believe that the emergence of Klein has certainly made Suter more expendable but I highly doubt he comes to Vancouver unless some serious moves are made to free up cap space.
Bodee
Frankly, If a player needs to be persuaded to come here after his length of time in the NHL, I'm not sure he is right for us. I would rather have a player who sees our Organisation, our fan base, and our players and WANTS to come to Vancouver.
RBCanucks
No. Suter will be looking for more money than the Canucks have to spend.

Salmonberries
Brent would be an excellent choice should Vigneault not return behind the bench.
Brick Tamland
Brett or Brandon? Gary or Ryan? Dude, if you are going to start a poll 50 posts into your CDC career, at least ensure you are spelling things right...
Heretic
What the.... Why would we want any Sutter? They destroyed the Flames. Edit: Please add an option "This would be the biggest mistake the Canucks have made since Bil LaForge"
WiDeN
Yeah... please take time to spell names properly. I couldn't figure out who you were talking about until you said #1 defenseman.
