Since we are always injured, and there are too many games in the season:

How about, once the Canucks are making the playoffs (like they did this year since January, and probably will next year), they rest all players for 10 games and use their depth to get by. Make them only away games to not effect season ticket holders or local fans. Each player only plays half of the away games for the middle part of the season.

Of course, that only works if your team is going to make the playoffs.

Before you lambast the idea, consider this: It wouldn't have hurt us this past year at all.

By rolling 4 lines??

We know that AV will always shorten the bench. If we are up by a goal...shorten the bench to protect the lead. If we are down by a goal...shorten the bench to get a goal. No wonder our guys are injured. Seriously...we need a 4th line that AV trusts to play 10 minutes. But knowing AV...that'll never happen.

Ten games would be a bit of an overreaction but i was very surprised more of our players weren't given more days off. Bieksa certainly was as he was injured... altho he probably could of used another couple games off or at the very least if you want them in game shape greatly reduced minutes which did not happen those last couple games.

I understand the players want to play but sometimes AV has a little too much faith in what his players tell him and should take a harder stance all in all tho I wouldn't call rest a real issue in the first round. What hurts more is the fact we were a 3 line team in the playoffs once again.

Ya it would be hard to do.

But. If you could refresh everyone at some point and still get ready for the playoffs it would work. Since all the players are playing with injuries or soreness at some point so technically it would not be cheating.

Games 20 to 50 might be the target. Even if u just rotate an 7th or 8th defenseman into the mix for 30 games or a few prospects.

If u think this doesn't already happen to some extent you are deceiving yourself. I am saying exploit it.
