Unfortunately, Nail Yakupov on a stacked Edmonton team says "hi".

Hopefully he isn't rushed into the lineup next year.

Nineteen is to young to be under the microscope.

Is drafting Corey Perry barely 10 spots after Ryan Getzlaf also confusing to you? How about trading for a powerforward coming off a 28g season when you already have David Backes? What about drafting Ryane Clowe when you already have Joe Thornton & Patrick Marleau? Etc, etc.

Is that also confusing?

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

They've got to be kicking themselves for passing on that Saad kid. He's been incredible this year in the OHL.

who is? Canucks? I'm quite happy with our selection to tell you the truth. Of course Saad had much much much better season, and no one can see what happens in a year. He fell in the selection because he just didn't have a strong season, (Saad) in fact, he just kept on slipping and slipping non stop. But good for him for having a rebound year.

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

I watched Jensen a couple of games this year, and he's a standout player. He loves hanging out in the high slot, makes space for himself, and skates real well.

I don't see how the Kassian aquasition would be confusing, both are power forewards, but play a differant game. When I saw Kassian in junior, he was physically dominating and had guys looking over their shoulder. I love having both those guys on our team!

They don't really play the same Kassian is much more physical. Jensen has size but doesn't initiate contact a lot.

It's just hockey futures......They had Filatov and Hodgson one/two in overall prospects at one point....They don't know more than any of us. They're just bloggers who look at stats......

Jensen makes the Kassian acquisition confusing.

What are you confused about? Jensen is going to need some time with the Wolves to develop....why rush him? Kassian needs to be developed as well so I am confused why we would trade for a player that needs work. That is not to say that Kasssian is not a good aquisition but so far he has been fighting for 4th line minutes.
If you throw Jensen out there in a top 6 position (or Kassian) next year, they are bound to be exploited by other teams and end up getting benched and frustrated. Just give them some time to get some confidence with the Wolves.
Jensen may get an emergency callup and that is as it should be. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kassian and Jensen ferried back and forth between Vancouver and Chicago this coming year.

Lets see how Jensen plays when he adds the 25 pounds he is going to need to be effective in the NHL and then will have a better idea of what we have

He was 43rd overall. So basically every team passed on him at least once.

Rookies almost never play top 6 minutes on contending teams .

Maybe based on the Hodgson situation, we'd better play him. He could pull a Peter Scheafer on us.
