[Proposal]Merci's Unstopable Pain Train Of A Team

Recommended Posts

Phoenix sweeps Nashville, Weber can't believe it and tells his GM trade his rights to Vancouver or he's gone for nothing next year.

1st 2012, Jensen, Schroeder

Shea Weber

Luongo to TB for Brett Connolly and the two 1st rounders

Ottawa had a dominant effort but just couldn't take it to the next level. Bieksa is a local boy who would fit the atmosphere grand. Despite him being completely solid for us I think he needs a new home and Ottawa gives that to him, it's closer to his family and Ottawa are a playoff ready team.

Kevin Bieksa, Brett Connolly, and both 1st rounders

Kyle Turris and Chris Neil

We give it all to Ottawa for them and it pays off like nobodies business. Chris Neil will absolutely dominate here on a line with Kesler and Booth nothing but hits, grits, and scoring. Kyle Turris as a local boy is completely pumped to play for his home team who are in the playoffs every year. He is a perfect 3rd line center that we can develop into our 2nd or 1st eventually and he was born here. A good replacement for Cody Hodgson.

Sign Dennis Wideman to a 2 year 4.25 million dollar deal

Sign Schneider for 3 years 3 million a year

Sign Pahllson for a 2 year 1.75 million dollar deal

Sign Weise 750k for 2 years

Sign Gragnani for 750k for 2 years

Sign Rome for 750k 2 years

Sign Bitz 2 years for 750k

sign Ebett 1 year 500k

Let Salo retire

Let Raymond off at the circus and don't come back for him

Let Volpatti walk

Sedins(12.2) Burrows(2)

Booth(4.5) Kesler(5) Neil(2)

Higgins(1.9) Turris(1.4) Kassian(0.85)

Lapierre(1) Pahllson(1.75) Hansen(1.5)

Hamhuis(4.5)Weber(7.5)

Ballard(4.25)Wideman(4.25)

Edler(3.25)Tanev(0.9)

Schneider(3)

Lack(1)

Cap: 62.25 million

Space: 4 million

Every D is on their right side, we have Weise, Bitz, Ebbett, Gragnani, Rome as call ups.

Hamhuis Weber is our Norris wombo combo. Ballard Wideman prove to be much more solid than Edler Salo were.

Edler and Tanev develop at the right pace against the worst pairings, more importantly they cost us 2 million each essentially. The price for a 3rd pairing.

Neil and Booth develop unstoppable chemistry while the young Turris and Kassian run a muck as our smashing and scoring 3rd line.

And nothing really needs to be said about Lapierre Pahllson Hansen they're line 3 b.

Bieksa, Salo, Raymond, and Luongo are unfortunately the under performers that need to be gone.

Daniel Sedin/Henrik Sedin/Alexandre Burrows

David Booth/Ryan Kesler/Chris Neil

Christopher Higgins/Kyle Turris/Zack Kassian

Maxime Lapierre/Samuel Pahllson/Jannik Hansen

Dan Hamhuis/Shea Weber

Keith Ballard/Dennis Wideman

Alexander Edler/Chris Tanev

Cory Schneider

Eddie Lack

1) Trade our 2 best prospects and our first rounder? Not much of a future there.

2) We won't get Connolly alone for Luongo, let alone an additional 2 first round picks.

3) Ottawa has been trying to land someone for the 2nd center position for aeons...and now that they have what seems to be the perfect fit, you think they'll trade him? For an unproven entity (they already have Zibanejad and De Costa)? Along with the guy who protects all their young guns?

4) Despite him having a BRUTAL playoffs so far, Wideman is the 10th highest scoring defenseman in the league, and was at the allstar game. At 29, this is his chance to hit a contractual homerun before his career starts to decline. Why do you think he'd sign such a short, small deal?

So we're going to trade our last 3 FIRST Round picks for Weber's RIGHTS.

:picard:

Then get this one...We somehow manage to turn Luongo into a potential superstar in Connolly and two more first round picks.

We then flip those 3 first round picks for Turris and Niel.

So Luongo, Bieksa, 6 first round picks for Weber, Turris and Neil.

That seems fair.

I think if we can get Connolly and only one of the 1st rounders for Luongo.

I don't know about the Turris trade. Turris has played really well but he didn't produce a ton of points which is the player he is supposed to be.

His value has definitely gone up but I don't think that much higher

PHX got a 2nd rounder and a very solid defencemen in Runblad for Turris

Neil and Turris for Bieksa, Connolly and 2 first rounders I think is an overpayment

I think Schneider will fetch more than 3 million as well

I do like your ideas though it would be a good line up I just think it would be hard to do the Luongo trade (though I feel it is possible) and a little overpayment for Turris and Neil

But then again some trades need overpayment if it's a trade that a GM is really confident in doing to improve the team. This can be good short term but we need more than 4 million in cap room in the future with guys like Burrows, Edler, Turris' contracts expiring in a couple years and who knows how Kassian will do and how much he will want after his entry level is up
