woot
Nashville Predators forwards Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn will not play Game 3 of their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday as a result of violating team rules. "The Nashville Predators have a few simple rules centered around doing the right things," Predators president and general manager David Poile said in a statement. "We have always operated with a team-first mentality and philosophy. Violating team rules is not fair to our team and their teammates."

D-Money
The Predators are a far better team than the Coyotes, even with Radulov and Kostitsyn benched. Their problem is that after they dispatched the Wings and became the favorites, they didn't take Phoenix seriously. Violating curfew, or whatever other violation they indulged in, is another example of not taking the business of playoff hockey seriously. The whole team needs to shape up, get focused, and get to work. Suspending these two for an important playoff game definitely sends a strong message along those lines. goalie13
Benching them is stupid. They are basically throwing their season away by doing that.

Provost
I am sure that they made a decision to suspend also based on the effort they were getting from those guys. They figured they had a better chance of winning without them in the lineup and sending the message to the rest of the guys. Nasvhille has always played above its weight class due to good coaching and a system. These guys were clearly not buying into it and that could have caused bigger issues. This sort of thing is really going to continue souring GMs on picking Russians in the draft. I predict Grigorenko falling to the double digits. nwo
that is a ridiculous thing to say, no player/players can ever be bigger and more important than the team. if they let these spoilt little brats away with what they have done, what sort of message does that send the rest of the players and staff? Cam Cole‏ Twitter: Radulov and Kostitsyn spotted in bar in Scottsdale past midnight Sat., before 5 pm Game 2 loss. Team was staying in Glendale, 45 mins away. Baka
After seeing what happened in Philadelphia with Carter and Richards and the locker room divided I applaud it. Sure it may hurt there chances in game 3 but you can't bend the rules for certain players and expect everyone to be happy unless you bend the rules for everyone. La Mauviette75
i think benching them is extreme. there's a lot of ways to punish an athlete without hurting your team. (particularly since they're already in a hole). if they lose this next game, it's over. extreme decision in the playoffs, in my opinion.
Ilya Mikheyev
Perfect. Now Weber's friend Radulov is gonna want out. GMMG get on that. Sign Suter, trade for Radulov, the Canucks already have Hammer and Weber is a BCer. It's all part of the plan...
