Alex the Great
Speaking of (former) T-Bird net minders, what ever became of Doug Bonner?
Fakename70
Selected by Toronto Maple Leafs round 6 #139 overall 1995 NHL Entry Draft Yup. That's what happened to him. He bounced around from the WHL to the AHL to the ECHL and ended his career in the UHL with a lovely season which included a record of 8-7-2, a goals against average of 3.27 and a GAA of 0.

Candawg71
why is there a thread of the worst WHL team. Get a new management team and become respectable.
Poison_Dart_R688
Let's hope Seattle pulls a Portland Winterhawks and turn it around soon. Let's not forget that Portland was at the bottom of the WHL not too long ago (finished last 2008/2009 season). Let's hope the first round pick (Mathew Barzal from Burnaby Winter Club) helps in a few years.
Candawg71
Seattle should have been better by now but poor management by Russ Farwell has left that team in shambles. Starting in Thomas Hickeys last season the captain of the Canadian Junior team was wanted by several teams at the trade deadline yet he refused to trade his teams only real talent. The T-Birds were sent packing quickly in the playoffs. Now look at the career of goalie Calvin Pickard. Never able to build a team around this top notch backstop. Without Calvins "stand on his head" play they would have never won a playoff game. The second round was only a dream. I fear for Barzals career if I were him I would consider the BCHL and NCAA route cause playing for the T-Birds is a up hill battle.
