To VAN: UFA rights to Parise & Adam Larsson
To NJD: Roberto Luongo, Jordan Schroeder, Yann Sauvé, VAN 2012 & 2013 2nd round picks
Adam Larsson popped into my mind because he wasn't getting much playing time these playoffs.
Larsson isn`t even 20, was picked 4th overall last year and was logging top 4 minutes.
He is about as untouchable as you get.
Unless Edler + is going the other way Larsson isn`t moving (think Edler + Kassian).
Luongo addresses an organizational need....but New Jersey loses their best offensive player and Larsson could very well be their #1 d-man by next year.
i like both players. I would put mayray in there instead of jordon.
The deal is already extremely lopsided for Vancouver...and you want to take out the 2nd most valuable piece and replace it with a spare part?
You gotta think from NJ point of view.
Over payment. Jordan Schroeder and Yann Sauve are our future.
And in addition to the great prospects we have, you want to give away two 2nd round picks?
I thought we're supposed to get younger, shipping two of our young prospects with good potential wont help that.
No to this proposal.
Do you know who Adam Larsson is? None of our prospects are even close in regards to value and potential.
I'm just drooling at the ownage of Kesler-Parise and Edler-Larsson
Instead of Schroeder, what about our 2012 & 2013 third rounders along with the rigts to Raymond?
I would still do your proposal.
We don't have a 2012 3rd rounder (Lapierre), and 3rd rounders/Raymond have little-no trade value when your dealing with elite level players. You can't just replace Schroeder in a trade with spare parts.
To Steven Stamkos' Mullet: ^
Maybe this slight switch up for the proposal:
To VAN: Zach Parise (UFA), Adam Larsson + Alexander Urbom
To NJD: Roberto Luongo, Mason Raymond (RFA), Yann Sauvé & Van 2012 2nd
If you take out Larsson this trade makes a bit of sense (if MG knew Parise would sign).
We would need to add in MayRay and at least a 1st.
Raymonds value is extremely low, and a late 1st round pick doesn't add a lot of incentive for NJ to give up 2 franchise caliber players.
