Kack Zassian
To VAN: UFA rights to Parise & Adam Larsson To NJD: Roberto Luongo, Jordan Schroeder, Yann Sauvé, VAN 2012 & 2013 2nd round picks Adam Larsson popped into my mind because he wasn't getting much playing time these playoffs. mellow_moose_man
We are basically trading an aging goaltender, a good prospect in Jordan Schroeder, a mid level prospect in Yann Sauve and 2 seconds round pick for a young defenseman who is going to be a stud and the right to an allstar. To make this work i think u would need to though in this years first. You wont get a future elite defenseman for that package.

goblix
Larsson isn`t even 20, was picked 4th overall last year and was logging top 4 minutes. He is about as untouchable as you get. Unless Edler + is going the other way Larsson isn`t moving (think Edler + Kassian). Luongo addresses an organizational need....but New Jersey loses their best offensive player and Larsson could very well be their #1 d-man by next year. The deal is already extremely lopsided for Vancouver...and you want to take out the 2nd most valuable piece and replace it with a spare part? You gotta think from NJ point of view. Do you know who Adam Larsson is? None of our prospects are even close in regards to value and potential. We don't have a 2012 3rd rounder (Lapierre), and 3rd rounders/Raymond have little-no trade value when your dealing with elite level players. You can't just replace Schroeder in a trade with spare parts. If you take out Larsson this trade makes a bit of sense (if MG knew Parise would sign). Raymonds value is extremely low, and a late 1st round pick doesn't add a lot of incentive for NJ to give up 2 franchise caliber players.
