Super_Canuck Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 The last 4 times the Canucks have lost in the 1st round, (1996, 2001 Colorado, 2002 Detroit, 2004 Calgary) the team who beat them has gone on to make the Finals everytime, with 3 out of 4 winning the Cup (Calgary in 2004 being the only exception) So going by this trend, LA should be atleast in the Finals this year. (we also lost to the eventual cup winners in 2007 Anaheim, 2010 Chicago and of course 2011 to Boston) I guess we're a good luck charm for a lot of teams Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Phil_314 Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 yeah that's a pretty unfortunate trend, but I'm pretty sure that if you looked at the other teams who were beaten down by the eventual champs, there's BOUND to be some repetition other than the Canucks making the list of the winners' roadkill on the way to the Cup.
