If we still had Hodgson we could've traded kesler for a top goal scorer etc... and Hodgson would've easy been able to take Kesler's role as 2nd line center. Damn I know Hodgson wanted out and more ice time but why couldn't they wait till the end of the playoffs!

Hodgson wanted to be traded

Gillis wanted to get Kassian he explained the deadline was the only window or something.

Hodgson wanted to be traded

We know he wanted to be traded but that's because he wanted more ice time. We should've done that by putting him on the 2nd line and putting Kesler on wing, not trade him away for a defensive liability and a player that is way too hyped by CDC and will eventually pan out to be nothing but a 3rd line, maybe 2nd that's it. Lucic 2.0 yeah right lol

Why didn't Mike Gillis trade the Twins rights to Toronto then we would of had Seguin or Hall?

Why didn't the Canucks give up Raymond over Grabner even though he came into camp not prepared?

Why Why Why Why Why Why

What if the Canucks picked Hoff over Juice?

What if the Canucks drafted Hamilton?

What if the Canucks scored in Game 7?

What if Lafyette scored?

What if Sharp scored?

......

I think it would have made a lot more sense to trade Hodgson for that top 6 six guy, given there was one available.

Time to realize that we'd lose with or without Hodgson. Man.

I didn't say he's better than Kesler. Right now obviously Kesler is better but Hodgson has more upside and greater potential. And I wanted to trade Kesler instead of Hodgson because Kesler is more valuable right now and would fetch us someone greater. Hodgson would have not gotten us a top 6 forward lol

So you're saying we're going to trade one of the leagues best 2-way centres, a Selke winner, a 40 goal scorer to allow for an unproven rookie who was just completing his first year on sheltered zone starts? Ok. You win. Your intellect is too great for me.

Was wondering if you bothered to notice Cody can't skate!! I'm thinking a 2nd line centre should have skating skills. "20 gms in Buff 18 min per gm 3 goals and -7" nuff said.

Holy crap is Hodgson overrated in Vancouver. Do some research before making comments like he's gonna be missed or is missed. He has been on for 48% of buffalo's goals against since he got traded there...thats half people! In vancovuer he was protected and put in situations that would make him successful and turned him "into an asset that had trade value" he's not been very good in buffalo and only had 5 goals since end of January! If he's our option for second line center then god help us all as we wouldn't even make the playoffs.

Hodgson has more upside ??? not size or speed, what exactly was his upside? Apparently most of his whining was about ice time,

Here is what Iain Macintyre says Cody did with more ice time. "

Hodgson contributed only three goals, eight points and a minus-seven rating in 20 games after his trade, despite averaging 17:16 of ice time for a Sabres team that went 12-5-3 down the stretch. Including his final 13 games as a Canuck, Hodgson managed only five goals and 11 points in his final 33 games.

So, naturally, he would have outplayed Anze Kopitar, Mike Richards or Jarret Stoll head-to-head in the Canucks’ playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings."
