Rink on Renfrew
I can't believe nobody's said it yet...... Mason Raymond had a broken back at the time. Simmons didn't, how would we equal that trade? So no we didn't miss out.
Mr. Anderson
How are those players anywhere close to being the same value?
Lonny_Bohonos_14
If we missed out on anyone, it's Brown. But as others have said. We could make dozens of these threads...
nwo
Richards? No thanx we don't need racists on our team.
Honky Cat
For most of the regular season,Richards was a non factor....a big underachiever compared to the impact that Schenn and Simmonds had for the Flyers.......Although now,the trade looks very good for both teams. Holmgren would have wanted a lot more than Raymond,Coho and a low 1st.
Master Mind
No, we don't need party animals with a bad attitude on the team. (I know it was never actually proven, but it seems like it's true)

Zaid Mohamed
"I could make 15 of these could of should of threads" -VanCityScout 'could of'? 'should of'? What's that supposed to mean?
realnucksfan2010
means just as it reads, Could have traded for him, maybe should have, doesn't matter now. We will have more opportunity to get better players if Luo waives his NTC, or if MG trades Raymond, The mike Richards thing is a dead horse. Dale Weise's Dad
You're SURE they'd take Raymond + Hodgson + a low 1st? YOU'RE SERIOUSLY SURE?
k_man08
Richards cap hit is $5.75m. How did we manage to fit that in by losing Raymonds $2.55m and Hodgsons $1.66m ($4.21m total) on top of which, he earns $8.4m next year..........
uber_pwnzor
I for one don't want Richard's million year, gazzilion dollar contract...
Thrill-House
I wonder if Kesler works on his passing this summer if he's not doing his normal rehab offseason.that is. When he worked on his shot a few offseasons ago it became 5 times better.
87Crosby
we should have traded la Raymond Ballard Coho 1st for Simmonds and a 1st

Tangelos
Mike Richards? A 27 year old who still parties like he's 19? Maturity goes a long way, so no thank you
Ghostsof1915
I'd have rather traded Coho and Raymond at the deadline for Johansen and a 2nd rounder.

MoneypuckOverlord
I've always thought Kesler's goal scoring ability was overrated. It's always the same routine. Gain the zone and take a non threatening wrister. He is a much better play maker than given credit. He may have scored 40 goals 2 seasons ago, but much of it was with the Sedins on that lethal PP. Kesler scored 75 points the season before and he did it playing with Raymond and Samuelsson. We need THAT Kesler back.
MoneypuckOverlord
And no, we didn't miss out. Not very good numbers for a guy playing top line minutes last year, and also salary wise, doesn't make sense. You get another player on our team that puts up as much points as he did, he will ask for similar money, then were screwed. He's playing well in the playoffs, but thats too much money to risk to "think" he will do well in the playoffs.
