Despite the obvious counter example San Jose Sharks, if you build a team capable of contending for the Presidents Trophy year after year there's no reason they're not legitimate Stanley Cup contenders. In his time here he may have had a few bad deals but name one GM that hasn't. It's part of the job, get used to it. Glad to have you on in the future Mike! And a ton of coaches could have won the pres trophy's with our team, and maybe could also get our team to play at there best so we didn't choke in the playoffs every year. Can you imagine if Sundin had signed for 2 years @10 mill? That would have caused some re-signing problems for this team. Go Gillis! AV sure as hell doesn't deserve an extension. You want a god damn 'choke in the playoffs every year' scenario, the Blues have been in the NHL since '67 and have only been to the cup finals once (early 70's).
