n00bxQb
Note to Kesler: Unless you're in the playoffs, wait until you're 100% before you come back!

Pears
Alright guys. I have your solution now for the Canucks. To Tampa Bay: R.Luongo K.Ballard M.Raymond J.Schroeder/ S.Salo +4 Million cash bonus To Vancouver: S.Stamkos V.Hedman Mattias Ohlund Reason: Trade Luongo because he is getting old and he let us down too many times and we all hate him Trade Raymond because he is clumsy, useless, fragile and a crybaby. He doesn't fit anywhere in our organization. We tried the 1st line and it doesn't work, 2nd-- NO cause Amex line rules, 3rd line(checking) he can't check for sh*t,4th line-- He can't hit for sh*t as well. He can't play D, mind as well make him a Goalie jokes! Trade K.Ballard because he is a cap but expensive 3rd D pair. bad puck handling and bad determination. Trade J.Schroeder because he is too short, too small, and not NHL ready. We want what is best for the franchise AT THE MOMENT, not the future. I don't have a lifetime to watch them win the Stanley Cup Trade Salo because he is trillion injures, He's old and unreliable. If he retires, than too bad but if he doesn't. Sighn him a 2 or 1 year contract and then trade him. Acquire Stamkos because he is decent at faceoffs. Has a lethal 1 timer and a lethal wrist shot. Plays clean hockey and has explosive speed UNLIKE Raymond who only has speed but no shot. 60+ goal scorer can really help this organization. Acquire Hedman because he has played with Sedins and would probably have great chemistry. He has a big body and would be awesome as a 3rd D man. Would love him in Vancouver Aquire Ohlund because he is a forever Canuck. Loves Vancity and has great defensive responsibility. Would be a awesome upgrade from Salo Lines After Trade Sedin Sedin Burrows Booth Stamkos Tambellini Hansen Pahlson Malhotra Ott Lapiere Weise Bieksa / Hamhuis Elder / Ohlund Hedman / Tanev Power-Play 1 Sedin-Stamkos-Sedin Edler / Hedman Power Play 2 Higgins - Burrows - Booth Bieksa / Ohlund or Tanev PK1 Pahlson/ Malhotra Bieksa / Hamhuis PK 2 Higgins / Burrows Ohlund / Hedman 4vs4 Sedin Sedin Ohlund, Edler 4vs42 Stamkos/ Tambellini Bieksa/ Hamhuis 3 vs 3 Tambellini Edler/ Hedman 3vs3(2) Hansen Ohlund/Bieksa SO Tambellini Edler Burrows Stamkos Ohlund Last day before trade deadline, Trade Stamkos to NYI for 1st + 2nd draft pick becuase he is too expensive and rest Kesler until trade deadline. WE ALL WANT A HEALTH KESLER TO GO BEAST MODE. When Kesler is ready. We will put him throught hardcore training to train him as if we were going to train him in the offseason. MY PLAN WORKS. n00bxQb
Good god...words can't describe how pathetic this proposal is. 1) You can't trade cash 2) Why in freaking hell would we trade Stamkos for 2 picks? 3) Luongo, Raymond, Ballard, Malhotra, Schroeder and Salo won't even get you Stamkos alone, yet you think they'll land Hedman AND Ohlund as well? If you want Stamkos, you give up our entire top 9, top 2 D pairings, and 5 first round picks for Stevie Y to even consider moving Stammer. I want an honest answer; Do you honestly think Tampa will do that trade? Even if Yzerman has smoked every drug possible, high and drunk off his @$$, he'd still have enough brain cells left to say HELL NO. /rant
Xbox
I wanted him traded because he dives to much. So much for the Jordan Staal pipe dream
Pears
Not to mention Ohlund will probably retire this summer. His knees are fracked
SEAN HARNETT
Cody's trade didn't have to be done right away. We could have waited until the draft or summer. Now with Kesler out we could could have just kept him as he was still under contract. He might have seen his opportunity to get more ice time and make a name for himself. He might have even changed his mind about wanting out. Or now that we know that Kes is going to be out for a long time, we could have traded him for another centre that could help us now. This isn't " hind sight is 20/20 ", this is about a player that made a good GM make a rash move at the wrong time. The bottem line is that the urgency wasn't there as ,MG might have thought, to trade Cody ASAP. I'm going to get flamed for speculating, but I really think MG should have been tougher and stuck this one out. The only other reason reason I can see that this happened is AV. And I'm not going to get into his situation.
wrath_jason
AGAIN? what the hell...... Guess we need a good guy at centre to fill the void. Cody, here's your shot.,. Cody? Cody? Oh, right...
van_ws
Canucks need a real top six forward to fill the void. If they don't get one, then say hello to another short playoffs. It is too bad about Kesler, but hopefully he is back to 100% soon.
SheaWeber6
Well at least we now know the reason as to why he was not playing as good as he should, but I really hope for the speedy recovery, and that this time he does not rush it back too quickly like last year. vancouverdepression
Yowsa. Poor Kes, 3rd summer in a row recovering from injury. He must have been in a lot of pain, warrior playing through it.
MoneypuckOverlord
With Schneider in net to start our season off we will be fine. I'm guessing we won't see him until early November maybe? But we do have the depth to hold it off. We are actually better off him not playing if he's not 100%.

giXXer
Why are they telling us about the Kesler surgery after gillis gets an extension ???
Gurn
When did Gillis know about the injury? IF it was before the Hodgson trade then Gillis messed up. maybe in two ways; Lack of center depth hurt the team But if he did trade Hodgson even though he knew about Kesler's injury then shouldn't he have traded a bunch of the fringe guys to teams stocking up for the cup run. ice orca
For those people who have already laid blame on Kesler for playing hurt, the coaches for letting him play and the medical staff for being completely useless.... A torn labrum has various degrees of severity and can be very hard to properly diagnose. Most medical experts say that arthroscopic surgery is the ONLY way to confirm a torn labrum properly...which means you have surgery just to get a diagnosis. CT Scans can be used to but they only provide about 80% accuracy. MRI's can miss the problem altogether. Physical examinations provide almost no degree of proven accuracy. It is quite possible that Kesler's injury started off quite minor (February) and slowly got worse over time. In fact Kes might not have even known about the injury and chalked up any minor discomfort to the 'usual' wear and tear a player experiences during the course of a season. Should the team have had Kesler go for artroscpoic surgery, in February...with the chance they would be told it was nothing serious? Anyone bored...stop now. if you're actually interested in being informed.....

sampy
Kesler's injury should motivate Shroeder this summer. A lot of trolls will say he isn't going to amount to much but many small players take time to develop (Savard, St Louis, Briere, McDonald). He is the all time leader in points in US Junior history. He's going to be a good player, patience Nucks fans.
