We Should Stop Looking At Raymonds Down Side

Evreybody is looking at his downside.why don't we look at his upside.fast speedy young winger who has a hard but inaccurate shot.maybe he needs the right center.someone who can feed him the puck

Raymonds upside isn't his shot. It's alright, but he can't rely on it.

His strengths are using his speed and agility along the boards to create open space for himself to drive to the net.

We have seen this from Raymond before. A full off season of training and working out is going to do wonders.

Raymond will be the biggest surprise next season. Quote me on it.

the downside is that it's not a hard shot, and he falls down when he comes in contact with any of the following:

a player

the boards

a ref

a players stick

a loose stick laying on the ice

the puck

a groove in the ice

a chip in the ice

a small breeze

a speck of dust

a photon

Raymond is still playing like he is nervous about his back (understandably). If he would start busting to the middle or taking the puck to the middle, he would be way more effective and that may take time for him get over the injuries.

Vancouver has to make the right moves now so that they can take advantage of the Sedin's and Kesler's talent while they are at their peak. In order to do that, they need a big forward like Nash to play with them and Raymond does not fit that bill....Raymond is not a player that is going to play a gritty skilled game...he is the roadrunner....meep meep gone...

He can be a valuable player on a team that needs speed on the forecheck and has enough skill to score a few perimeter goals. He just needs to go to the right team...and that team is not Vancouver...he just doesn't fit the skillset that is required for next season.
