Dale Hunter Steps Down As Coach

Various people on twitter are reporting that Dale Hunter has stepped down. I wonder who will take over?

Too bad he made some ballsy choices, but really helped Alex work on the other side of his game.

There were plenty of rumours through the season that this might happen.

Big loss for the Caps, He turned that team around. I wonder if Hunter will looking for a coaching gig in up in the great white north

I think he relished his role as the head coach, and did a good job at that.

Perhaps he doesn't feel he can replicate the success he had ???

I heard he stepped down for family reasons. Too bad, he was a good coach. He gave the Caps direction and helped Ovie develop into more of an all-around player. I even saw Semin backcheck in one of the games against the Rangers.

i wonder if it was completely family reasons, or if, at least, part of it was he couldnt handle ovechkin anymore.

The Caps finally had a coach who had some coconuts and didn't care who he put in their place. The Caps had playoff success with Hunter.

Dale would be a good fit in Toronto, but that's probably not going to happen.
