Tony Romo Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Hello all, For a while I have been thinking how to fine players fairly, with the differance between money,why dont they fine a persentage of the players salary? So say 20%of the salary. Then say a player making 8 million bucks would be fined 1.600.000$ A player making 800k would be fined 160.000K That way it would be fair for everyone. Thoughts? For example, Keith's elbow would be a much higher percentage fine than a smaller, but still illegal hit. I would like this idea if it was still combined with some sort of game suspension as well. La Mauviette75 Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 I like the idea, but just because it's the same percentage doesn't mean it's fair. for someone not making that much money, 20% of the salary is huge. if you dock crosby 20% of his salary, he likely will hardly notice. that's why income tax is higher for rich people. if you're not making a lot of money, even a small percentage has a big impact. basically, this would still be more of a deterrent for lower pay grade people than higher pay grade people.
