Tony Romo
I don't mind HCNIC on Saturday nights. Great tradition,it would be weird watching it on a other channel. But come playoff time I want tsn to brodcast most of the games
Jet_91
Can't wait. The sooner that band of clowns over at CBC are off the air the better. I won't miss them one bit if this happens.
Mad Cow Disease
I'm also on the get-CBC-outta-here bandwagon in this case. If it goes to TSN, I'll be ecstatic. Even Sportsnet would be better, though TSN is preferable because their panel is top notch and their broadcasting quality (commentary aside) is top-notch. etsen3
Hypothetically if TSN gets it, I wonder if they'll bring back the old theme song as well.

Kamero89
If Rogers gets HNIC we can expect the Leafs every weekend... So no change whatsoever...
canucks.brad
I think we might see Rogers Media and CBC bid together for the NHL rights like they are for the 2014 Winter Olympics to counter what will for sure be a very strong bid from Bell Media. Opmac
i thought it was Bell and CBC who bid together
SukhKular
I'm not sure why but tsn games sound and look so much better for me. It feels like sportsnet use garbage mics or something. Tsn games sound and look exciting compared to sportsnet.
Hobble
I personally can't see Bell letting HNIC slip to Rogers if the rights truly did go up for grabs. TSN already has the hockey theme that CBC dumped it, so might as well get the show too! Everything is better on TSN.
canuckrelevantname
I wouldn't be averse to this happening, however I think It would be a travesty for all Canadians if the institution that is the CBC dies. If they lose HNIC they will die. The most recent federal budget cut the CBC's budget more substantially that ever before. I think the CBC is as important to our Canadian identity as hockey is. They have come to go hand-in-hand. Sure BCE or Rogers could pick up their slack, but there would be something missing. CBC provides free streaming of games to all Canadians, and even if their broadcasting involves Don Cherry and is Toronto-centric, they provide us with a good, consistent and credible service. Hyzer
I don't really care if CBC loses the rights. I just want Jim Hughson to cast the games.
Mighty Walrus
Not in HD. Get a Good HD TV and minimum 5.1 surround sound system with Dolby Pro Logic II and Sportnet's AV quality is just as good as TSN. I agree that RSN SD looks like s**t compare to TSN SD
JustJokinen!
Is there any other reason to watch CBC other than for HNIC?
