Matthew Lombardi 18
http://www.thestar.c...ary-flames?bn=1 I think he is a great choice, though Brent Sutter was an okay coach too. Calgary was just cut out of the playoff spot. They lost too many valuable games, especially on shootouts. It will be interesting to see what kind of system Hartley will implement. Ossi Vaananen
Won a title in the Swiss league.... interesting to see how big ice translates to NHL. You Calgarians seem to like your chest beaters, this guy seems like just the opposite. Maybe Iginla stays? Or does a new coach mean the start of a rebuild? Jägermeister
It will be interesting to see if they get Colorado Avalanche Bob Hartley, or Atlanta Thrasher Bob Hartley. For the Canucks sake, I hope its the later.
Legend Killer
Good move by Calgary, i was hoping he'd be in Montreal personally.

Snake Doctor
Let's see what he can do! I don't think Calagary fans are extatic but hey it's Calgary!
Hobble
A coach can't turn water into wine. Don't see the failure last year as much on Sutter as their roster. Filled with B level players other than Kipper.
-Vintage Canuck-
Jacques Cloutier will join Flames as assistant to Hartley
nd84
Great choice. Haven't been following any updates on MTL's coaching situation but it looks like Therrien, Crawford and Roy are options for them now, probably one of the first 2 in my opinion

Hockey Fever
Won't make a difference, the team still needs a complete rebuild. You know what they say : You can't polish a turd". Even if MythBusters says you can?
Canucks_fo_life
I tweeted Matt Sekeres during the mid day show on his Tell Me Im Wrong segment, and it was about how even Bob Hartley wont fix that sinking ship that is the flames, and Matt read it out on air
Jaku
On Hockey Central they just that Hartley and the management team would not rebuild in Calgary. To add he said that Calgary would be a top team in the west. Interesting words, should be fun to see if he can actually back his words up.
RyanKeslord17
Honeslty, Calgary was a good team last year, and they are probably the only team that can actually use injuries as an excuse. They had many key players out for a long period of time, and they still almost got 8th spot. Camalleri was a great addition too. Canucks will not have it easy in their division next year.
