HKSR
1ST STEP: Toronto acquires: - 1st Overall Edmonton acquires: - Schenn - 5th Overall Edmonton gets to draft one of the stud D-men in this year's draft plus gets another blue-chip defenceman in Schenn instantly building up their D-core for the future. 2ND STEP: Vancouver acquires: - 1st Overall Toronto acquires: - Luongo - 26th Overall Vancouver drafts Nail Yakupov! (man, having been a Bure fan, I would love for the Canucks to get Bure ver. 2). Toronto gets their #1 goalie and a replacement first round pick. Nick Jen
Lou and the 26th overall isnt worth the 1st overall not even close.
HKSR
Is Lou and the 26th worth Schenn and the 5th? Cuz if it is, that's all it really costs Toronto. You gotta remember that Lou is worth more to Toronto than to almost any other team in the league.
Aladeen
You know I think this trade could work, but I think Luo + 1st for Schenn + 1st + Something would be better for the Canucks. Nail will undoubtably be great but, with a potential Dstud in Schenn and another Bluechip Dstud with pick, it would shore up the Nucks blue line for the next decade.
