This might be a rather dumb question but does anyone know why players like Wayne Rooney, Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, etc. were not on Team GB for the Olympics. I know Beckham was cut but what about all these other guys? Have they retired from the national team following the Euro or were they cut also?
