Conn Smythe goes to Duncan Keith of the Chicago Blackhawks.  Without him blatantly injuring Daniel then LA wouldn't have made it out of the first round.

That will always be the big debate for Canuck fans...Personally,I think the Kings would have still won the series regardless(they were firing on all cylinders, several Canuck players had trouble finding their game) if Daniel was in the lineup.

Found this interesting and thanks to the riots for this one!

Kings crowned, Canucks mocked

Hockey fans make fun of Vancouver on Twitter

Devils forward and former Canuck Steve Bernier took a boarding penalty in the first period which prompted a power play leading to three goals by the Kings. Some took to Twitter to say Bernier learned all his dirty tricks while in a Vancouver uniform, and that lead to an all out Lotusland lambasting!

"BREAKING NEWS: Vancouver breaks out in another riot after the Canucks failed to win the Stanley Cup yet again," reads one Tweet.

"Gotta give it to the New Jersey for not being babies and causing a riot like those lame Canucks," reads another.

It seems a lot of fans just can't let go of June 15th, 2011.

Also supposedly LA Cops after the game outside Staples Center, on the PA system, asked, "Show of hands, anyone here tonight from Vancouver?"

No. It was a tweet. The L.A. police don't use P.A.s or bullhorns, they use firehoses and teargas.

Miller is not on our list. It's Lack as our #1. There is no reason we would have traded both Schnieder and Luongo if we never intended to give Lack the #1 starting job.  Furthermore, the salary and term Miller is looking for is not in our favor.

No I don't feel better about losing. On the other hand I was glad to see Willie lift the Cup and to see another city finally enjoy the greatest trophy in sports. Congrats LA!

We should have listened to the natives when they suggested we rename Stanley Park, to "Xwayxway"

It's a goddamn curse

The natives should rename the park to "Snu-Snu"

How can you feel better? Gillis made changes to the team while thinking about the Boston Bruins. Now he has to reverse all his strategy since the Kings are an entirely different team and style. He needs to focus first on the Western Conference.

Are you kidding? Boston and LA are basically the same. They have heavy, skilled forwards, a Norris-level d-man backed by a capable defense and a goalie that played lights-out.

LA beat us the same way that Boston did - Vancouver couldn't handle the combination of size and skill of LA's forwards.

I just feel apathy similar to the 2007-2008 season. The style the team plays they have to win for it to feel like watching the game was worth it. They win with a whimper or lose by epic proportions in the playoffs. Only the Boston game this regular season with Hodgson's clutch goal was really worth watching.

How can any of the Canucks feel good about losing period?
As a die hard fan i feel.........................well i am in shock!!!! They just totally tanked this year, and there doesn't seem to be any plausable explanation. A far as feeling good about losing to the cup champions, i feel like some one shoved my head into a giant pile of LA Kings SH*T. It is all bad! However it is all over now soI will start to focus on next season (if there is a next season) and hope that the team can find that hunger for the cup and win it all!!! All we can do is hope and cheer right?
GO CANUCKS GO!!! :towel:

I'm glad for Mitchell, but, other than that there's no silver lining to seeing your favourite hockey club bounced from the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. None at all.

Wrong. Not this season. This year's Canucks just weren't as good as last season, even with that 2nd consecutive Presidents Trophy that they backed into only because St. Louis faltered at the end of the regular season. The 2011-2012 Canucks coasted into the playoffs and rightfully had their hats handed to them by a club that truly "wanted it". Hopefully the Canucks learned their lesson.
