That is a gross overpayment. Just so people know Parise is going to be a UFA. Either he would not sign with us meaning we traded Lu and Kesler for a high 1st rounder, or he very well would have signed here anyway without us having to give anything up. But I don't think it is worth getting Staal, we have Kesler, and he isn't the top 6 forward we need, and if we got Parise is woudl instantly be much more important to get defense.
