King of the ES Posted July 20, 2012 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Bryzgalov can still pay off. He is a gamble, but he is still a good goalie. Especially now with potentially Weber and Schenn, that is going to be an extremely tough D to play against. But the fact that Holmgren landed some absolutes STUDS in the Carter/Richards deals I think more than makes up for what he lost. Picking up Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, and Voracek has undoubtedly excited many Philly fans. I'm sure they have forgiven him now that they have gotten young, extremely high quality players, that will make them a serious contender for many, many years.
