Senators names being speculated in a potential Rick Nash deal: Robin Lehner, Mika Zibanejad and a 1st round pick.

Oh man, it's a gamble.

meh the basement cop can rest easy, apparently it was a fake account that started this whole CBJ OTT trade bollocks.

Maybe he can bust me on my meth labs run by Ethiopian orphans that I have scattered throughout the lower mainland.

Ottawa would be dumb to do that. That would be a knee jerk trade based on the limitted playoff success they had this year.

They're still a rebuilding team. Trading Zibanejad would be an idiotic move.

Howson wants a disgustingly unrealistic return for Nash evidently and no teams are biting.

@TSNBobMcKenzie
Teams interested in Rick Nash say asking price remains high and there's no sense out of CBJ anything is imminent. Likely to be post-July 1.

Anaheim will likely try to wait to trade Ryan until Nash is gone to get max value.

Looking at Nash's stats. He seems to have peaked in 08-09. He's been slowly declining since then. To be fair he's playing for a joke of a hockey franchise. Getting an elite prospect, a player now, and a top end draft pick would be a good start to getting Columbus back on a solid footing (Sort of like the Staal deal).

I'd rather make a deal to get Ryan Johansen from Columbus than Nash.

Well Phil kessel, and Lupul is also playing on a "joke" of a franchice, however they both put up real good starts. The same with Sidney Crosby, he was able to put up over 100 points on the 2nd worst team in the leauge. It has nothing to do with team, if he's good, he is good. Don't blame the team.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

There's a report that Nash won't waive his NTC to go to Ottawa so we can end that speculation.

Kessel and Lupul had breakout seasons as well as a better supporting cast in all areas of their team. It's hard for Nash to put up legit 1st line numbers when he is the only one who gets targeted by the other teams shutdown players. Crosby shouldn't really be compared to him since he's the best player in the world. Besides, Rick Nash is a sniper who plays the wing, rather than a center who distributes the puck more and gets tons of secondary assists. .

This. It's easier for Centres to do well on a crappy team than it is for players like Nash who rely on others to distribute the puck to them. With the right support, Nash can do a lot of damage.

Are you CRAZY??? Trade Green for ONE first round pick?? He's restricted after this season.... He WILL get an offer sheet for 7-8 million from a number of teams regardless if he plays another minute for us or not. That offer sheet would be worth 4 first round draft choices.

Some fans overrate their players, and then there is this guy.

If a goalie is what Howson wants as the centre piece, he should look this way. We happen to have an elite goalie here that we are trying to move.

No way Luongo waives his NTC.

Even sending Schneider there seems like a terrible thing to do to such a character guy. Poor Schneds, presumably, he would have to at least play there for a whole year, don't sign contract and the following year he becomes UFA.

Schneids, if you sign a contract with Van, make sure there is a NVM or else Gillis might sign and trade you to Columbus.

NMC wouldn't kick in until his UFA years begin, so Cory only option to assuredly avoid being signed to a multi-year deal and traded would be not to sign one until Luongo is traded.
