Kass9 Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 No way is Gillis in a desperate position. He has the option to go into next season with both goalies. Plus he has the option to trade either goalie, that's what some people seem to be in denial about. Schneider gets 3 million on a long term contract, but if you sign him to a 1 year contract he probably only gets 1.5 million. He still hasn't done anything to earn starter money yet. So really we could sign him to a one year contract, until another team gets desperate enough to pay good value for Luongo, then we can extend Schneider for longer and for more money. Also, he has more points than Kesler in fewer games played.. This is where you will tell me that Kesler takes care of both zones of the ice.. Getzlaf is a playmaker and a sniper!
