Although technically it is a contract offer, it's just to retain his rights. It by no means actually a contract offer to Cory Schneider.
The deadline for QO for RFA's is 2:00 today EST. Any RFA who did not receive a QO turns UFA. Our RFA's were Raymond (arbitration = QO), Schneider, Weise and Gragnani.
In addition. we technically have till December 1st to actually sign a contract with any RFA. The player can play without a contract signed till Dec 1st, if no contract is signed by then, he becomes ineligible to play for any team.
Unless someone can confirm otherwise, Gragnani just turned UFA.
Options for Schneider
1) Sign the offer
2) Decline the offer. I know he remains RFA, just not sure what the ramification are after Dec 1st besides not being eligible to play, In other words, I am unclear if he refuses to sign what it means to his player rights.
Sig too big.
