Erik Karlsson
All GM'S dont like to say a player is getting traded but I beleive lu will be dealt during the first round of the draft because Burke is the one who will make the deal happen
DanHamhuis
Sorry, I don't understand. Buffalo are not going to offer sheet Schneider surely? Maybe I've missed something.
DanHamhuis
He's full of himself and is dedicated to trying to make people remember him. It's working, but for all the wrong reasons. Regards, TOML's biggest fan
GradinToSmyl
Bad idea to even leave the possibility of an offer sheet open. There's too many teams that need to get to the cap floor that could all of a sudden offer him 6 million. No way we match that, and the compensation from it doesn't really do much to help us now. GradinToSmyl
Well Gillis wanted to sign Sundin for 10 mill for TWO years, that would of been very hard to sign the Sedins and other players if he decided to take that offer. I could see him doing something dumb like that again.

GradinToSmyl
We were when we made it to the finals but almost every team got better and it seems the canucks stayed the same if not got worse, that was a magical year when we made it to the finals, art ross, selke, jennings, presidents trophy, etc, I don't think this team is capable of doing that again until we get a big gritty top 4 d-man and another big top 6 forward imo. The Kassassin Train
Just like our prospects, everyone is rushing this trade again. If there is no trade I'm willing to bet we will see at least "Fire Gillis Thread."
The Colt 45s
So you mean the Blues were the last team to do it? An offer sheet to Weber? What would that include? $9M a year? And you can bet he wouldn't sign long term in case the Preds match if he wants out.

GradinToSmyl
I think those 4 (presumably hearly) 1st Round picks could then be flipped over to another team to pick up star players, say a Rick Nash.
