Via Team1040

A good depth player, another 'project' for MG and Co.

He would be an upgrade over Bitz,Duco,Mancari,Pinozzotto.

Played his best hockey here in Vancouver, maybe coming back home and playing in the right role would get him back to the grinder/pest player he once was with the Giants.

Bring him home MG. Good depth centre with potential.

I'd bring him in, fill in centre while Kes is out
I rather lose with the Canucks, than win with any other team

This is OUR year

For the right price he could work out. Definitely wouldn't get my hopes up though, he hasn't lived up to expectations anywhere he's gone.

I would love him on this team if we can get him for the right price. Maybe sign him to a two-way contract around 850K. I'd be alright with that.

Please God let him sign here! My first two hockey games were back-to-back Giants games - he scored a hattrick in each game. He could be good for the 4th line, and would definitely be able to step up and cover for Kesler for 6-8 weeks.

Latang was admiring his pass...

the other end of the icing line ? hahahh

Yes: to bruele Worth a 1 year deal (jeff tambelini type deal)

Is there a particular reason why Phoenix does not want to resign Brule?

Same as the Raymond contract issue. Phoenix didn't qualify him because he is an RFA and would make about $1.8. Now he becomes a UFA and can sign for whatever.

I thought he was playing his best hockey with the Yotes. Nice mix of physicality and offensive ability.

I agree, he was playing his best hockey with them, Columbus ruined his development. I dont think he was given a fair shake in Edmonton either, but they were already dealing with so many rookies and figuring the team out, it may have just been bad timing.

As long as the fans don't turn on him I think he is a good cheap answer to our hole at center

Wasn't given a fair shake in Edmonton? He scored 17 goals one season playing on the top line with Penner(in his career year) and Gagner.

I heard he has attitude problems. Hence why he has moved around so much. I used to love him when he played for the Giants. But if that's true I can't see MG even attempting to sign him.

He is a good 4th liner and backup 2nd liner. If under 1m why not?

If the management can turn his career around, then absolutley for 1M or under.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

If we are looking to create a bottom-6 that can play more minutes, Brule would be a smart addition. He's small but he was pretty noticeable on Phoenix's bottom-6, 14 points in 33 games. He also would give us another option in the shootout.

I'd also like to see what he can do with bigger skilled wingers or on the wing himself. Brule-Kesler-Booth would be interesting to at least watch too bad Kesler is out with an injury.

Sign him as our 13th forward or give him a PTO and then let him battle it out with Schroeder in training camp? Win-win situation.

Would love, love, love to see him play on our 4th line. I think he is still young enough to turn it around and be a decent 30 point guy. He was one of my favourite Giants to watch back in the day.
