da.moose Posted January 18, 2013 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Rumour: Both Washington Capitals goaltenders Miikka Kiprusoff and Devan Dubnyk want to play the majority of games with the Caps. The goaltender earning less games will likely be shipped out to a squad in need of a starter. The Capitals signed Dubnyk this offseason to a three year contract and was expected to take over the starting role by the end of the season. However, this dillema may force management in Washington to speed up the process. I've heard rumours that Kiprusoff may be the guy out due to his age and contract. Kiprusoff is the more trusted goalie in the nation's capitals thus far though, meaning that Dubnyk may be the guy on the way out.
